MusicMaster Version 6 Now Available, Full of Exciting New Features!
Drumroll please......
We're proud to announce the highly anticipated
new release of MusicMaster Version 6! This major update includes new
tools that'll help you save time and get better results. You can read
about them below, browse the
screen tour or watch the feature tour video!
-
Recursive Scheduling for Migrating Positions - MusicMaster
once again takes a quantum leap into the future with the new and
exclusive Recursive Scheduling option. Until now, music scheduling
software filled just one clock position at a time. With Recursive
Scheduling, millions of combinations are checked as each
song is tested in every possible clock position. This places the best
songs in the best possible positions within each hour. This is
uniquely adept at maintaining optimum artist separation in ultra-tight
rotation categories while dramatically reducing the chance of leaving
any positions unscheduled.
-
Rule Filter Tool - In the Song Replacement Dialog, you can now see how many songs are being
blocked by your rules and which
rules blocked them. You can then temporarily disable any rule for that
position to allow more songs to pick from.
- Library Query Element - In your clock, you can create
a filter based on any combination of song fields. When this element
gets scheduled, only songs matching your filters get tested.
- Enhanced Search Bar - MusicMaster's internal search engine just got a lot more powerful. Now you can search within as many fields as you'd like.
- New Prompted Queries
- You can now set the Prompt text to the same listing for multiple
fields. This means you can set it to look in multiple places, but not
have multiple lines in your query.
- Make Your Own Hot Keys - You'll
now find ten user-defined hot keys for both Library Maintenance and in
the Schedule Editor. Choose your favorite actions from the list and
assign them to the Alt keys.

Recap: Classical Genius Day at PRPD Convention
The
Public Radio Program Directors (PRPD) conference in Pittsburgh survived
the rain and all the traffic from baseball and football fans who have
energized the city of three rivers. Jill Sorenson spent several days
visiting with MusicMaster clients from around the country discussing how
to get more out of the software and utilize the tools to create better
playlists. There were two sessions tailored specifically to classical
music and we were thrilled to see that every panelist in those two
sessions was a MusicMaster user.
The conference kicked off with a MusicMaster
Genius Day Session designed specifically to address the needs and
concerns of classical programmers. It was a productive session with
users getting tips while we picked up ideas on how we can make the
software even better. The group gathered for a group photo after
enjoying the Mozart chocolates that were a special treat. Thank you to
everyone who attended, and to our hosts and special guests: Joe Knapp,
Drew Bennett, Jill Sorenson, Rainer Eichhorn (ON AIR), Miriam
Vanneste-Vratz (WDR - Cologne, Germany) and Bettina Zacher (Klassik
Radio - Hamburg, Germany).
In case you missed it: We are
creating a special video presentation of the entire Genius Day session
for those who could not participate. Stay tuned for more information on
how to download the session.
We're looking forward to continuing our
association with PRPD and will see you again at the 2016 conference in
Phoenix.

This

prominent sales and media consultant in the broadcasting industry. Click
the link to listen!
About Jason
Jason Jennings is a researcher and one of the most successful and prolific business authors in the world. His
passion

1,100 keynote speeches and seminars he's delivered around the world have consistently and positively changed
lives, careers and
companies forever.
He began his career as a radio and television reporter and was the youngest radio station group-owner in the n
ation. Next, he founded Jennings-McGlothlin & Company, a consulting firm that became the world's largest media
consultancy and their legendary programming and sales strategies are credited with revolutionizing many parts of
the broadcasting industry.
He traveled the globe in search of the world's fastest companies for his landmark book, It's Not the Big That Eat
the Small - It's the Fast That Eat the Slow and, within weeks of its release, it hit the Wall Street Journal, USA
Today and New York Times Bestsellers Lists, was published in 32 languages and USA TODAY named it one of the
top 25 books of the year!
Next, he and his research teams identified the world's ten most productive companies for his bestseller, Less Is
More. That was followed by, Think BIG - Act Small, which profiled the only ten companies in the world to have
organically grown both revenues and profits by double-digits every year for ten consecutive years. Like all his
previous books, it debuted on all the bestseller charts. His next book, Hit the Ground Running - A Manual for
Leaders reveals the tactics and strategies of the ten new CEO's who created the greatest amount of value during
their first five years on the job.
His New York Time's bestseller, The Reinventors - How Extraordinary Companies

Along the way Jason joined forces with well-known cardiologist Dr. John Kennedy and coauthored the 2010 Health,

Fifteen minutes a Day.
Critics call his books, "extraordinarily well researched, insightful, crisply written, accessible, intriguing and a vital

speakers on the planet along with the authors of, Good to Great, and, In Search of Excellence.

QUICK TIP: Schedule Analysis
You may be familiar with Schedule Analysis
in the Editor. You can set up Hour/Day Analysis there for one target
that is important to you. Instant Analysis let's you set up
multiple targets that you can then show in the Editor. If you'd like a
handy way to see your Hour/Day Analysis information in one place, you
can print that report. Got to Analysis, Special History Reports and
select Hourly Summary Report. You'll get a report that will show
the same thing you see in the Hour/Day Analysis report, but the printed
report allows you to set a date range, which means you can look at more
than the current day to review trends and overall performance.
