If you are one of those programmers who likes a tangible, hard copy of your log in your hands or maybe you need to print out all of the songs in a category for research or an upcoming special, MusicMaster has the tools to make it look exactly how you want it to look. Let’s take this printed list of George Thorogood songs for example.
Sure it lists the songs but there are a couple of things missing. First off where are the Destroyers, George’s backup band? And who wants just one Bourbon? I want the Scotch and Beer too! The problem is my log is too crowded to get all of this info in. So let’s pretty this thing up first by clicking our printer icon then the edit button when the Custom Library Reports box opens.
Here there are two things you can do to clean things up. One option is activating the “Can Grow” function by placing “True” in the options box while selecting the Artist then Title fields.
Now when we print out the list it will display the entire name of the band and the full title of the song. The Can Grow function allows these fields to complete in a row below.
Perhaps you are thinking that this too is a little too bunched up well then the other option is to simply clean up what fields are in your view. Is the Gender Field really necessary for this report? Then go back to the Custom Library Reports editor and remove any unwanted fields and stretch out your Artist & Title fields.
This in conjunction with the Can Grow function cleans up your view and allows you to see all of the information in a format that is much more pleasing.
Of course we are talking about MusicMaster here so there are a lot of other ways you can customize your reports by including your logo and more. So “Who Do You Love?”….yep MusicMaster! If you have any questions about how to make your logs and reports look better contact your MusicMaster rep.
