5.0sr5 is now Available

A new service release is available for MusicMaster, 5.0sr5. If you are doing a new installation on a Win7 or Win8 machine, we would encourage you to go to our support center to download the full installer file of this version. That file will also now let you choose where to install your MusicMaster database and definition files: in the Windows shared documents folder, the Windows Current User Documents folder or the MusicMaster Application path. These additional options can be helpful to avoid data access permission errors.

We’ve also included a new Hourly Summary Special History report that shows the total count and time of song elements in each hour of the report, along with other updates and revisions.

If you use the ES button in the upper right corner of our website to view the site in Spanish, you’ll now find that Blog articles are also translated. These articles cover a wide-range of topics to give you more insights into how you can best utilize MusicMaster. We’ll continue to work our way through the archive to bring more Blog content to you in Spanish, so check in regularly to see what’s new.

Quick Tip: Enhanced Swapping

You’re probably familiar with F5 when you’re in the Editor. This feature allows you to swap two positions. With the release of 5.0, we’ve enhanced this feature. If you use SHIFT-F5, MusicMaster will look for other nearby elements in the same, previous or next hours from the same category. If MusicMaster can find a better testing result, it will make the swap. If it can’t find a better result, it leaves everything the same. Rather than you testing multiple swaps one at a time, MusicMaster can now do multiple tests in one step for you.
